July 4th has always been about fireworks and shopping, and this year is no exception.

When do the sales start?

The sales start a couple of days before the 4th of July, last year it was June 19th, so expect similar things in 2019 as well. The biggest players like Home Depot, REI, and Sam’s Club start a few days later, around June 21-22. The best deals do happen on the holiday weekend itself.

What are the best deals on electronics?

Electronics deals are legendary on July 4th. Best Buy usually wins the competition with many discounted items, like 4K TVs, laptops, MacBooks, and Nest products. Expect to save hundreds of dollars on those and similar items.

Many other stores also offer great discounts on variety of items. For example, last year Fry’s had a pre-4th sale up to 70% off on the website. Dell Home saw sales of up to 40% off, including many laptops. Sam’s Club had HP OfficeJet Pro inkjet printers on sale for $77 last year.

Newegg also had many different discounts, deals, coupons, and rebates last year, including free shipping. It makes sense to save your money and shop for computers, laptops, TVs, games, software, and many other electronics items at this time of the year.

What will the best deals on outdoor gear be?

Outdoor equipment is definitely on sale during this holiday and beyond. Dick’s Sporting Goods usually discounts apparel, outdoor gear, and sporting equipment up to 50% off. Some year the store also offered an additional 20% off coupon. REI also has great prices, but their sale doesn’t last long, so don’t waste time when you see a good deal.

What clothing sales can you expect during July 4th?

It’s definitely good to update your closet during this summer holiday:

• Banana Republic Factory is known to take 50-70% off and offer free shipping on $50+.
• Brooks Brothers can take 40% off warm weather collections for women, men, and children.

• Eddie Bauer had 50% off everything, complete with free shipping on $99 last year.
• Gap had the Great Gap Sale with 60% off sitewide with additional 40% coupon on select items. Many select fashion accessories were greatly discounted too.

• Macy’s goes all out during this sale that can last until July 8th. Most items were 10-20% off and extra 15-25% off after $3 charity donation last year, so expect similar things.
• Shoes.com had discounts up to 75% off with extra 25-30% off stackable coupons, making the deals hard to resist.

What can we expect for patio furniture?

If you lasted this long without stuff to sit on outside, you did yourself a favor, because July 4th is a prime time for patio furniture shopping. Home Depot has had discounts up to 50% on everything, including all garden and patio items.

Lowe’s discounted their patio selections up to 40% off. Target had all furniture at 30% off, so you could get a nice sofa and a couple of lounges for a very good price. Interior décor was also discounted at Target and the whole deal included 15% off coupon.

Does Amazon, Apple, and Google offer any discounts?

Apple has never been very generous on deals and discounts, so don’t count on finding anything spectacular this July 4th, but you can score some savings at B&H Photo Video and Best Buy. The same goes for Google – no direct savings, but some deals on Google home devices from Best Buy.

When it comes to Amazon, if you don’t find a deal you are looking for, wait until July 8th and shop till you drop during its Prime Day sale.

Most restaurants are ready to celebrate with you and have some special menu and pricing waiting. It works out in everybody’s favor to grab a bite to eat before heading to see fireworks. Whether you crave some scrumptious pizza, a juicy burger, or refreshing ice cream, you are sure to find plenty of freebies, enticing discounts, and special menus on July 4^th and beyond.

All the promotions vary by location and franchise. Before heading over for a special meal, make sure to contact the restaurant to find out about their specials and reserve a table in advance.

Burger King – Enjoy American Brewhouse King Sandwich for just $6.19 has been created just in time for July 4^th and a few days after.

Cracker Barrel – a special campfire menu is available through July 15. You can expect to indulge in BBQ pork, seasoned corn, and s’mores.

Dairy Queen – all July long some locations are inviting customers with special menu items: the Oreo Fireworks Blizzard and the Star Spangled Blizzard.
