If you have a baby or are expecting, you probably love Carter’s. Want to get those adorable outfits for as little as Walmart baby clothes? Read on to find out how that is totally possible. And we are talking $1 bodysuits and $5 sleeper blankets!
It all depends on where you shop. Carter’s brand stores are not the places for such prices. Even Costco fails to deliver the best prices. Go to Kohl’s, Sears, and JC Penney for the best deals. There you can easily get 65% or even 80% off regular prices. This is what we call the art of saving!
Kohl’s, Sears, JC Penney
As we said above, shop here to get killer deals on bodysuits and 3-piece outfit sets. You can combine sales, coupons, and points to get those cosmic deals any day any time.
60% off at Kohl’s in January and February
This is the time to shop at the Baby sale, when you will enjoy low prices and such coupons as $10 off $30. Coupons can be used with sales pricing, making the deals irresistible.
Make sure you first sign up for Kohl’s Yes to You Rewards Program and earn points all year. You will get $5 certificate for every 100 points. Combine that with sales prices, coupons, and Kohl’s Cash for extreme savings.
Sears April shopping
Sears holds “Spring Black Friday” in April, when baby body suits can be discounted by 60%. Combine that with Shop Your Way Rewards promotions, and bodysuits can become $0.88 each. Now that’s hard to beat! Do this shopping online and get better color choices.
JC Penney stock up prices
JC Penney rewards program gives you 1 point for every $1 spent and then $10 reward for 200 points, amounting to 5% savings. There are also plenty of coupons on their website for printing and online usage.
Once in a while you can find coupons for Carter’s brand as spectacular as 60% off. Even without coupons the merchandise is discounted when compared with brand stores, especially of you find baby apparel in sales and clearance sections.
Long-sleeved bodysuits are a bit more expensive, but you can definitely find them for as little as $2 each. In addition to our mentioned stores, check out T.J. Maxx and Burlington.
Always buy packs
Carter’s bodysuits usually come in packs of 5 of short sleeves and packs of 4 of long sleeves. Those packs will always be cheaper than single suits unless you find them in the clearance section.
Bed, Bath & Beyond coupons at buybuy Baby
The stores are sisters, so what works at one, will work at another too. This means that your 20% off one item or $5 off $15 from BB&B can be used for Carter’s clothes. This strategy only works in-store, not online, so time to do some brick-and-mortar shopping.
Carter’s sleepers at Costco
The best deal you can find on Carter’s blanket sleepers is at Costco. You can get them for just under $5, but the retailer carries only size 6-months and up, so newborn moms have to be patient or look elsewhere.
Newborn to 6-month sleepers at Kohl’s and JC Penney
Those two stores carry all the sizes of comfy sleepers and you can get them for as little as $6 each with the right coupon and sales price. Stock up when you get a deal like this.
Rompers at Macy’s
Macy’s can’t compete with Kohl’s and JC Penney prices on most Carter’s items, except summer rompers. The store has the biggest variety and the lowest prices of all competition.
Check out the Last Act section and you might be lucky to score $4 rompers even if the color palette is a bit limited there.
Carter’s baby shoes at 6pm and Kohl’s
6pm carries many Carter’s baby shoes at great prices, but always be aware of the bottom price you are getting. At Kohl’s make sure to use all available discounts and coupons to get up to 50-60% savings, which is when you know that you are winning at this savings thing.
Avoid Carter’s brand store
The only time it makes sense to visit the brand store is during their end of season sales in January and July, but even with 20% off clearance some things are still more expensive than everywhere else.
If you do decide to shop at Carter’s to enjoy the selection, at least sign up for free Rewarding Moments program and get up to 10% back on your purchases. This is huge when compared with an average 3% back from most retailers.
Carter’s outlet stores
Carter’s outlet store is just the same store with a different name. The same in quality and price, that is. The only difference is that the outlet store might be bigger and the selection wider, but often older.
Carter’s other brands
Carter’s owns various brands, like Osh Kosh and Skip Hop that offer very different apparel. There are also Carter’s brands with different names made for specific retailers. Just One You for Target, Child of Mine for Walmart, and Simple Joys Made by Carter’s for Amazon are lines of clothes “made by Carter’s”. While that sounds great, many parents agree that the cut and quality is just not quite the same.
Finally, why pay the same price for an inferior product when you can get great deals elsewhere on real Carter’s clothes?
